The beta for the game is already out among Microsoft employees, so the games official launch shouldn't be too far away. When the game is launched you will be able to become a Word Ninja, an Emperor of Excel or a Prince of Powerpoint.

A Microsoft spokesman has said that the game is designed to show users features of the software that they might otherwise miss. Because of this, Microsoft have said that they don’t want the game to be an addicting one, and so they have designed it so that you only do all the challenges twice.

To play the game you will need Windows Vista or Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit) or Windows XP (only 32 bit). You will also need one of the latest versions of word – Office 2007 or Office 2010 (32 or 64 bit).

Currently the game only includes Word, Excel and Powerpoint, however in the future it is possible that it may expand to the full office suite. Microsoft users get ready for Microsoft Ribbon Hero.
