Fill Up That Empty Blog SpaceEver ran out of stuff to write about on your blog? In this article, I hope to give bloggers some tips on how to "Fill Up That Empty Blog Space".
|Idea 1 - Reserve a list of topics|
Keep a list of blog topics, so that when you are running short of ideas, you can write about one of the things in your list.
Idea 2 - Read other blogs
Read other blogs on your topic. I regularly read other technology blogs, and write about the best stuff I see, so that my readers (you) get the best content.
Idea 3 - Have a spare article
Keep some spare article, so if you ever run out, and haven't posted in a few weeks, you can post the spare one. I always have at least one (but usually two) articles held back, ready to launch if I can't think of anything to write about.
There are three ideas of how to tackle your blog writers block. Below is a table with the Dos and the Don'ts to do when you have empty space you need to fill.
- Post something off topic - it never hurts to add a funny, or different type of post to your blog
- Write about something that's free - people always appreciate it when bloggers highlight free things that they were not aware of before
- Don't announce that you haven't posted in a while - This make make regular visitors less loyal, also, the chances are your visitors will not have noticed, so why tell them?
- Don't write for the sake of it - Wait until you have something worth while blogging about, or else you just end up waffling, and that looses your visitors loyalty
